Meet the team!
Dan - Director
Mountain Biking is definitely Dan's main passion, though he will be found delivering all the activities on offer. As much as Dan would like to be out delivering activities, he has to spend more and more time on administrative duties!
Ben - Chief Instructor
Ben is a super keen Surfer and paddleboarder, having paddled around Menorca last year! You're likely to meet Ben, as he heads up most of our activity days and events.
Joe - Instructor
Joe is an avid Mountain Biker and keen White Water Kayaker. Originally from Exmoor, Joe is currently based in the Lake District where he is studying for an Outdoor Degree!
We booked with Exmoor Adventures for a group of 20+ girls on a hen do. The weather permitting plan was kayaking and paddle boarding and alternative (if weather didn’t play ball) was tree climbing and archery - Dan communicated that there was a chance that activities might change so we were well aware of a possible last minute switch.
Due to sea conditions we did the latter option, Dan met us all on arrival and explained the plan of action. We split into two groups, one doing the climbing with Dan and others archery with Ben.
After our safety brief on both activities off we went, the balance was just right in making sure we were safe vs cracking on and having a go. As much or as little as people wanted to do.
As a group we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Exmoor Adventures and would recommend to anyone staying in the area. It was a great addition to our weekend! More
We had a brilliant time learning how to SUP in the harbour. They were helpful, professional and patient with such a big group of varying abilities. We did SUP races in groups which was fun, and then had a chance to do kayaking afterwards. All our equipment was provided and the communication on email in advance was brilliant. I can’t recommend these guys enough. Thank you.
Exmoor Adventures helped us organise archery and mountain biking for a stag weekend. They gave us loads of advice in picking the best package which was just what we needed. They came to the accommodation for the archery and then took us all mountain biking across the Quantocks which was fantastic. It was great to have local knowledge of the best runs and their experience and understanding was invaluable ensuring that we all had a fantastic weekend. Thanks guys!
6 of us booked for archery on a Saturday morning..... it was fantastic!! Ben the instructor was super, we would certainly recommend!
We booked last minute a tree climbing experience and mountain biking . It was the highlight of our teenagers holiday this week .They loved it they found it exhilarating and fun so many thanks to Ben their instructor who was very professional and very skilled...More
We were a group of families with kids aged from 14 down to 8 and booked a morning coasteering with Dan.
I wasn’t quite sure what coasteering would be exactly. It turns out to be swimming in wetsuits out to rocks, climbing up them (walking up them really, as they are more like ledges) and then jumping into the sea. Repeat. It was great fun! Everyone started on a low jump and then those more confident could progress to higher ones.
Dan and Joe were great hosts. A good sense of humour and very experienced at putting us at our ease. Even those who claimed beforehand to be there just to keep an eye on their kids surprised themselves with how much they enjoyed themselves.
100% recommended - we’d do this again if coming to Exmoor. More
